- To verify your identity using your NIC number

3. NIC Verification
Your National Identity Card number and photo are collected solely for the purpose of identity verification. Your NIC number is stored securely and is never shown to other users. Only authorised Stardust Innovations staff can access NIC data for verification purposes.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:
- With other users: Your public profile (name, age, photos, preferences) is shown to potential matches. Your phone number, NIC and private details are never shared.
- Service providers: Supabase (database), Expo (push notifications), PayHere (payments). These providers process data on our behalf under strict agreements.
- Legal requirements: If required by Sri Lankan law or a court order.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) policies. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data at any time through the app
- Update or correct your information in your profile settings
- Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Children's Privacy
Our apps are not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover a minor has created an account, we will delete it immediately.
